Chance the Rapper canceled the remainder of his Magnificent Coloring World Tour, which included stops in Manchester and Dublin, according to an announcement issued today, Nov. 23, 2016.
The dates have been scrubbed from his website and Ticketmaster marked the cancellations as well. According to MCD, the Irish promoters that were promoting the canceled shows in Dublin, the dates were dropped due to “personal reasons.”
As of now, Chance is still slated to hit the road again at the very end of the year, and will continue performing into 2017.
There’s speculation that the cancellations are in response to Kanye West’s recent hospitalization due to exhaustion and sleep deprivation. Chance mentioned the troubling situation in an interview with BBC Radio 1 yesterday.
“I want to extend a very special prayer to my big brother, Kanye West. I know there’s a lot of weird folks out there but you already know that I’m a hundred grand,” he said, via Pitchfork. “I want to just extend this prayer and this love from all the way in Britain. We might come home early to see this man.”
