Karen Civil: Talks About Demanding Her Respect as a Woman in the Music Industry
Social media maven Karen Civil has been on the move since our last interview with her! She now heads her own digital media company and manages artists such as Nipsey Hussle and YG. She has also since then launched her lifestyle brand Live Civil and is even working on the release of her new book! This past weekend she visited Chicago to host a discussion panel focused on branding and marketing yourself in the entertainment industry. The event was held at Red Kiva and was presented by Charismatic Solutions, headed by CEO Robin Snowden & Zo Entertainment. During the event, Karen talked about her marketing success and career and she was joined by other panelists from Chicago’s industry, which included WGCI’s Loni Swain and Lorin Patrick. Karen also gave examples of situations where she felt disrespected by men in particular because she was an African American female.
